Once you feel your skills are strong enough, here’s what I’d ask:
- Come to the shop and demonstrate an HDMI or USB-C port replacement
- Test and verify the replacement part works correctly
- Put together a list of essential tools you’d need to build a beginner-to-intermediate soldering workbench — then email it to stevef22@gmail.com with the subject line:
“Essential Soldering Bench Gear”
By the end of the self guided training you should have skills in HDMI repair, USB C replacement, Short isolation and repair, broken traces repair.
